About Asthma Consultancy
Serving to implement effective asthma care.
Asthma consultancy is 100% Nurse Practitioner owned and operated organization that works with children, families, Providers, the community and the Emergency Departments to manage persistent asthma. We evaluate, and perform diagnostic testing, educate and manage medications for pediatric patients ages 4 to 20 with persistent asthma, chronic cough and allergic rhinitis.
Effective asthma self-management with appropriate medication and allergen avoidance is key to preventing unnecessary emergency room visits.
We consult with Pediatric Primary Care Providers, Emergency Departments, schools, Health Departments and health Insurance organizations, to improve patient and parent asthma self-management skills.
Asthma Consultancy fills the gap between the ED, primary Care Providers and Pulmonologist/Allergists.
Asthma is the most prevalent chronic lung disease among children accounting for the most days lost from school annually. African American children and children from lower socioeconomic status suffer the greatest from Asthma.
Poorly managed asthma leads to frequent ED visits, unscheduled primary care provider office visits and frequent school absences.
Primary care providers lack time and resources to effectively evaluate, educate, educate and manage the volume of patients with chronic persistent asthma. Waiting list for specialty visits with a Pulmonologist or an Allergist are extensive.
Asthma Consultancy utilizes evidence based practices to partner with Pediatric Primary Care Providers, Pulmonologist and Allergists to break the cycle of poorly managed persistent asthma.
We educate patients, parents to identify triggers, anticipate asthma flare ups and proper inhaler technique.
Asthma Consultancy is based in the beautiful Central California, Fresno County where 19% of our residents have asthma and 17% of the residents received treatment for asthma from an emergency department or urgent care.
